Rental Terms & Conditions
- Minor staining that we are able to remove ourselves will incur no additional cost. However, if the garment us damaged (including rips, major stains, broken zips, etc.) you will be responsible for covering the dry cleaning and/or repair cists.
- If the garment us damaged beyond repair, you will be required to pay the full retail price to replace it. Please take care of rentals.
- Do not attempt to clean the garment yourself, as this may cause permanent damage or staining to due the delicate nature of our pieces.
Bookings & Delivery
- All Friday and weekend orders must be placed by 2:00pm on Wednesday.
- Orders places less than 3 full working days before the event, or after 2:00pm Wednesday, risk not arriving on time.
- Your rental will include care instructions, a prepaid post bag ( If selected ) Garments must be returned over the counter at an NZ Post location ( not a drop box).
- Rentals must be posted back the day after your event.
- If returning directly to us, drop off must occur 1 day after your event.
- Late returns will incur a $15 late fee per day, as many garments are booked back-to-back.
Cancellations & Non payment
Cancellations are accepted 7+ days before the rental date and will be refunded as store credit only.
In cases of theft or unpaid fees, we reserve the right to take further action, including debt collection, legal action, disputes tribunal proceedings, and public naming.
Identification and Ownership
• You must provide your full name, phone number, home address, and valid ID when renting.
• Rentpretty remains the legal owner of all garments at all times.
• Failure to return a garment will result in legal action, including small claims court and/or police involvement for theft.
Garment Care and Damage
• Do not alter the garment in any way, including pinning or temporary modifications. Any damage caused will be charged.
• Please be mindful of jewellery and cross-body bags, as pulling and snagging often causes irreversible damage.
• Normal, unnoticeable wear and tear does not incur charges.
• Compensation for damaged garments or late returns may include loss of income from affected future bookings.
Try-Ons
• Try-ons are available in person only at our pickup location in Coatesville, Auckland.
• Postal try-ons are not offered under any circumstances.
• Sessions are 30 minutes with no limit on the number of garments tried.
• Try-ons cost $20, which is fully redeemable if you proceed with a booking.
• Please arrive on time, as sessions may be booked back-to-back.
• You may bring up to two guests.
• Please do not wear makeup, fake tan, body oils, or lotions—failure to comply may result in your session being declined.
• We cannot guarantee availability of specific garments during try-ons. Rentals take priority. If you wish to try a specific piece, contact us beforehand to confirm availability.
